From April to September 2015, we will trek with our bikes through Eastern Europe. We will relish freedom, be outdoors and on the road, make music and art for ourselves and for
others.
Who are We?
We are a group of young artists and pedagogues, seeking freedom, nature, spontaneousness and the limits of streetart. We could already gain some wonderful
experience with busking - street music - and are eager to see what else can happen on the street, in front of and together with people: Juggling, improvisational theatre,
acrobatics... With music and art, we want to bring along something of us to all the places we'll visit. When there is a school, hospital or orphanage on our way - who knows, maybe we
will stay there a bit longer, perform for the children, rehearse a small performance with them or lead a workshop.
By now, we are seven: Anne, Hannah, Tabbi, Biene, Fritz, Benno and Pina. Some of us work as volunteers in an ecological youth organisation in Germany, and there lay the roots of
this grand idea. We found people who wanted to come with us - and here we are, 19 to 28 years old, a motley group of (soon to be) artists, musicians, pedagogues, dreamers, jugglers...
We carry on the concept of 2wheels4change, a project of Jonglirium e.V.: http://www.2wheels4change.com, and are supported by Jonglirium e.V. and Yaakunah - Zukunftsfähige Lebensstile bilden e.V.
Where we Go
We will start from Germany, head southeast first, following the Danube through Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia... and then? Go on to the Black Sea or
elsewhere? With summer's heat kicking in, we will most likely take a train up north and continue our adventure in the Baltic countries. We will see.
There also is, among other things, many a festival or gathering waiting for us.
How and When?
How? With our bikes, and sometimes hiking. We stay where we want to stay, and, as a very important point for us, travel together. We are a group that reaches decisions in consensus and everyone is as much responsible for our happiness and a joyful life together as any other.
We want to travel sustainably, take care of our environment and carry this concept with us to the people we meet.
When? We will start on 6 April 2015. When we will head back home depends on university calling, probably at the end of August, or
mid-September.
